Who doesn’t know that picture? INDIA! yes it is!
To be honest, i am in love with India, well i rarely watch Indian movie (bollywood) and most people also told me that oh no, India is packed, dirty, crazy, dangerous. ok.. people have their opinion and i don’t bother with that. for me India is AMAZING!!
and so what’s the “AMAZING” about it?
so, East or West, India is the best, how do i know, here’s some facts about it:
Around a 100 million years ago, India was an island. India’s name is derived from the “Indus” river, Indus Valley Civilisation is the world’s oldest civilisation. India has been the largest troop contributor to the United Nation Peacekeeping Missions since its inception. India has the world’s third largest active army, after China and USA, CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT (world’s third largest army)!!!
Oh man! I’m not gonna talk about historical thing here cause I’m not really into such a thing. Culture and food are way more fun right??
Let’s talk about that! So, first of all, i have no idea why am I so in love with that hectic country and you know, It’s such a colorful country, i mean… a lot of fun colorful festival.
so… what are they?
1. Diwali
Diwali is a five days festival that represents the start of the Hindu New Year. It’s known as the “Festival of Lights” for all the fireworks, small clay lamps, and candles that are lit during the celebrations. These lights are said to represent the victory of good over evil, and brightness over darkness. The candlelight makes Dawali a very warm and atmospheric festival, and it’s observed with much joy and happiness.
2. Ganesh Chaturthi
The spectacular eleven day Ganesh Chaturthi festival honors the birth of the beloved Hindu elephant-headed god, Lord Ganesha. The start of the festival sees huge, elaborately crafted statues of Ganesha installed in homes and podiums, which have been especially constructed and beautifully decorated. At the end of the festival, the statues are paraded through the streets, accompanied by much singing and dancing, and then submerged in the ocean.
