Who doesn’t know that picture? INDIA! yes it is!
To be honest, i am in love with India, well i rarely watch Indian movie (bollywood) and most people also told me that oh no, India is packed, dirty, crazy, dangerous. ok.. people have their opinion and i don’t bother with that. for me India is AMAZING!!
and so what’s the “AMAZING” about it?
so, East or West, India is the best, how do i know, here’s some facts about it:
Around a 100 million years ago, India was an island. India’s name is derived from the “Indus” river, Indus Valley Civilisation is the world’s oldest civilisation. India has been the largest troop contributor to the United Nation Peacekeeping Missions since its inception. India has the world’s third largest active army, after China and USA, CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT (world’s third largest army)!!!

Oh man! I’m not gonna talk about historical thing here cause I’m not really into such a thing. Culture and food are way more fun right??
Let’s talk about that! So, first of all, i have no idea why am I so in love with that hectic country and you know, It’s such a colorful country, i mean… a lot of fun colorful festival.
so… what are they?

1. Diwali

It’s known as the “Festival of Lights” for all the fireworks, small clay lamps, and candles that are lit during the celebrations. These lights are said to represent the victory of good over evil, and brightness over darkness. The candlelight makes Dawali a very warm and atmospheric festival, and it’s observed with much joy and happiness.

2. Ganesh Chaturthi
ganesh-chaturthi-l The spectacular eleven day Ganesh Chaturthi festival honors the birth of the beloved Hindu elephant-headed god, Lord Ganesha. The start of the festival sees huge, elaborately crafted statues of Ganesha installed in homes and podiums, which have been especially constructed and beautifully decorated. At the end of the festival, the statues are paraded through the streets, accompanied by much singing and dancing, and then submerged in the ocean.

OK! Where should I start? my name?

so, Margaretha Aurelia Redynadianti is my name, pretty long (yup). My family called me Nadia and the history of my name is pretty interesting too (i guess…) ok, here we go!!

Margaretha : it’s my baptist name (cause i am catholic) from the beautiful generous princess from Wessex. she was an English Princess. she was sometimes called “the pearl of Scotland” and my aunt came up with the idea of this name.

Aurelia : so i guess my other aunt came up with the name also, so Aurelia is the shimmering female form of the Roman classic Aurelius, very common in the Roman Empire and currently experiencing a resurgence in the US. but, you know what Aurelia is also “gold” and jelly fish (if you guys are good in biology)

Redynadianti : it’s a mix name between my dad, mom and me.

now let’s see what’s the history of my nickname “nadia” when i wasn’t born to the beautiful round world, my dad was a huge fans of an amazing beautiful Gymnast from Romania, Nadia Elena Comaneci, i don’t know what was in his mind by naming me after an awesome Gymnast, well maybe he wants me to be such a Gymnast in the future, but well reality won’t let me. but anyway, i do love sport a lot! i have such a quite amazing sport team outside (by saying outside means that not in Tel-U).

maybe you guys are wondering what kind of sport is that, well i play frisbee every sunday with my amazing CouchSurfing friends. and I joined Bandung Hash House Harries 2 weeks ago and i commit myself to do either the hike or run every Saturday but i’m better go hike than run cause they do it in the jungle so which means it’s not a city run. Beside that, i went swimming sometimes when i’m stress and have a free time at the same time. for Monday evening i have Zumba class. see.. this is nothing to do with being skinny, i love my body so much and life without sport is like weekends without beer! hahaha oh! and i’m welcome for any other sport if you have such an interesting sport. gosh… i’m stuck in here, so what else? … oh! beside sport to relief stress, i paint or draw. i found out that painting is such a good therapy since last year, so everytime when i’m mad, stress or sad, i apply all of those disgusting emotion into a paper, i don’t care about the beauty or the ugly about it, that’s a good way to cheer myself up cause i don’t really trust people that much. i had a terrible experience about people, so tips from me : be careful of what you are saying and listen about, don’t split it out just like that.

so i guess this such an open minded profile of me, we are living in a virtual life right now (i mean here in this site) so keep the personal mind or anything personal with yourself and be open minded in the virtual life.. see, open minded not judgmental. i hope you guys know what is privacy and public..
